Meet the chairs that lead the committee!

Hi everyone! I’m Maria, a second year student at Amsterdam University College majoring in international law and justice which I like to mix with a bit of philosophy. Outside of academics, I am a vivid film and photography enthusiast. This year I’ll be chairing the Peacebuilding Commission together with Hubert and we can’t wait to see what creative solutions this year’s delegates come up with. I have been involved in the MUN world for a good couple of years now, both as a delegate and a chair, yet somehow every time the experience I have still finds its way to be unique and stimulating.

Hi! My name is Hubert and I’m from Poland - together with Marysia we will be chairing the Peacebuilding Commission. I’m currently studying two Bachelors programmes (European Studies/Economics and Business Economics) that allow me to explore my interest in social sciences, in particular macroeconomics and history. I have extensive experience in Model United Nations, both on the national and international level, which has taught me how to navigate the world of geopolitics and political debate. Outside of studying, I’m a keen skier and tennis player and I quite enjoy completing various DIY projects.
